You are problably here because you clicked on a link about embedded document problems. Some browsers are capable of the more sophisticated operations, and some are not. Some cannot see the document at all. At the time this page was written, these are our findings for browsers freshly installed with no extras or plugins.
Firefox has had a series of problems rendering PDF files correctly from 2015 through 2025, at times producing blurred, smeary, or superimposed images. Sometimes, selected pages or the whole file were rendered as a black field. In such case, the user should switch to another browser.
